All valuations, appraisals, Flip Scores, market estimates, and vehicle insights provided by FlipDash are estimates only. They are not professional appraisals, certified valuations, or guarantees of any kind.
1. What FlipDash Estimates Are — and Aren't
FlipDash's appraisal tools, market intelligence features, Lane Scan, and Flip Score are designed to help vehicle dealers and flippers make faster, better-informed buying decisions. They are powered by artificial intelligence, algorithmic modeling, and aggregated third-party market data.
These tools are decision-support aids. They are not:
- •Certified or licensed professional vehicle appraisals
- •Guarantees of market value, resale price, or auction result
- •Predictions of profit, return on investment, or marketability
- •Representations of a vehicle's actual condition, history, or title status
- •Legally binding valuations for financing, insurance, estate, or legal purposes
- •Substitutes for a physical inspection, test drive, or professional mechanical evaluation
2. Factors That Affect Estimate Accuracy
FlipDash Estimates reflect available market data at the time they are generated. Actual market value may differ significantly based on factors including but not limited to:
- •Actual vehicle condition — undisclosed damage, wear, prior accidents, or mechanical issues not visible in a VIN scan
- •Local market dynamics not fully represented in aggregated data sources
- •Seasonal demand fluctuations and regional supply imbalances
- •Exact trim, options package, color, and factory add-ons
- •Recent comparable sales not yet indexed in data sources
- •Verified mileage discrepancies — Estimates rely on reported mileage, which may differ from actual
- •Title history, odometer rollback, flood status, and other issues not captured in available data
- •Auction-specific dynamics such as buyer fees, run order, and reserve prices
You should treat FlipDash Estimates as a starting point for research, not a final answer.
3. Flip Score
The FlipDash Flip Score is a proprietary metric that estimates the relative profit potential of a vehicle based on available market data and algorithmic modeling. It is scored on a relative scale and is intended to help you prioritize which vehicles to investigate further.
A high Flip Score does not guarantee profit. A low Flip Score does not guarantee a bad deal. The Flip Score does not account for actual vehicle condition, undisclosed damage, title issues, your specific repair and reconditioning costs, local market dynamics, or deal negotiation outcomes. Always conduct independent due diligence before purchasing.
4. Lane Scan & VIN-Based Estimates
The Lane Scan feature generates preliminary estimates based on a vehicle's decoded VIN specifications and available market data. These estimates are produced in seconds and are intended for quick at-auction screening.
- •VIN decoding may be incomplete or inaccurate for certain vehicles, trims, or model years
- •Lane Scan values do not account for actual vehicle condition — you are looking at a specification-based estimate, not a condition-adjusted one
- •Auction fees, transportation costs, reconditioning costs, and your carrying costs are not included in any Lane Scan estimate unless you add them manually
- •Real-time auction dynamics — bidder competition, reserve prices, run order — are not predictable from VIN data alone
5. FlipDash Is Not a Licensed Appraiser, Advisor, or Dealer
FlipDash is not a licensed vehicle appraiser, dealer, financial advisor, tax professional, attorney, or any other type of licensed professional. Nothing in the FlipDash platform constitutes:
- •Professional appraisal or certified valuation advice
- •Financial, investment, or tax advice
- •Legal advice regarding title, ownership, or vehicle law
- •Insurance valuation

For certified vehicle appraisals, consult a licensed appraiser. For financial or tax questions, consult a qualified professional.
